Falmouth Trails are Back Open!

Falmouth trails are back open! Record-setting rain events in January, followed by damaging snow and wind events, have been hard on the trails. Trail users are likely to find branches, sticks, and other debris along the trails. Volunteers and staff are doing their best to clean things up, but any help to safely move debris and clear trails while you are out there is much appreciated!

Please report any major damage, such as downed trees across trails or broken/displaced bridges, to info@FalmouthLandTrust.org.

Land Trusts Protect Twice as Much Land in Maine as State Parks and Public Lands Do

Maine’s nonprofit land trusts collectively conserve more than 12% of the state, providing over 2.34 million acres of publicly accessible land, more than 1000 miles of recreational trails, critical wildlife habitat, managed forests, and working waterfronts and farms.

FLT is proud to contribute to these efforts through 40+ years of protecting forests, farms, fields, and waterways in Falmouth. Watch this mini-doc to learn more about our work!
