It’s Hunting Season!

Remember to wear a blaze orange hat, vest, or shirt to stay safe on the trails during hunting season. This goes for dogs too!

Hunting is allowed on five FLT properties: Blackstrap Hill Preserve, Carr Preserve, Morrill-Stillings Bird Sanctuary, Ridgewood Preserve, and Hurricane Valley Farm. Hunting is also allowed on many Town of Falmouth open space properties.

Please click here for more information about hunting rules and permit requirements.

Did you know land trusts in Maine protect and steward over 12% of the state?

That's 2x the size of all state parks and public lands combined. Land Trusts in Maine have protected over 2.34 million acres of publicly accessible land, including over 1000 miles of recreational trails, plus critical wildlife habitat, managed forests, and working waterfronts and farms. FLT is proud to contribute to these efforts through 40+ years of protecting forests, farms, fields, and waterways in Falmouth.
