From land conservation and trail stewardship to nature-based education and habitat restoration, we always have a whole lot going on. In 2025, we spent time outside with over 1300 students and 200 adults; we completed major trail repair projects at five different trail systems; and we finalized land acquisitions to add to the more than 2800 acres of conserved land in the community.

Land Trusts in Maine have protected over 2.34 million acres of publicly accessible land, including over 1000 miles of recreational trails, plus critical wildlife habitat, managed forests, and working waterfronts and farms. FLT is proud to contribute to these efforts through 40+ years of protecting forests, farms, fields, and waterways in Falmouth.
