Trail Work At Blackstrap Hill Preserve

We're so excited to have a Maine Conservation Corps trail crew working out at Blackstrap Hill Preserve for the next few weeks!

They will be working to improve some of the intersections around the Blackstrap summit; fix an eroded section along the River Trail; and install raised gravel turnpikes along part of the white trail.

Be sure to say hello to the crew and thank them for their work if you see them out on the trails!

Did you know land trusts in Maine protect and steward over 12% of the state?

That's 2x the size of all state parks and public lands combined. Land Trusts in Maine have protected over 2.34 million acres of publicly accessible land, including over 1000 miles of recreational trails, plus critical wildlife habitat, managed forests, and working waterfronts and farms. FLT is proud to contribute to these efforts through 40+ years of protecting forests, farms, fields, and waterways in Falmouth.
