Trail Work At Underwood Springs Forest
We're so excited to have a Maine Conservation Corps trail crew working out at Underwood Springs Forest for the next few weeks!
They will be working to move this pile of lumber and gravel to create turnpikes (raised gravel paths) on the notoriously muddy USF trails. Be sure to say hello to the crew and thank them for their work if you see them out on the trails!
Our July volunteer day will be out at USF on Saturday, July 12th. Click here for more information and to sign up!
Did you know land trusts in Maine protect and steward over 12% of the state?
That's 2x the size of all state parks and public lands combined. Land Trusts in Maine have protected over 2.34 million acres of publicly accessible land, including over 1000 miles of recreational trails, plus critical wildlife habitat, managed forests, and working waterfronts and farms. FLT is proud to contribute to these efforts through 40+ years of protecting forests, farms, fields, and waterways in Falmouth.
