Celebrate National Trails Day with FLT!

Join FLT on Saturday, June 7th (National Trails Day) at 9am for a guided hike at Blackstrap Hill Preserve! We’ll celebrate reaching the halfway mark in the Trail Legacy Campaign (which aims to raise $250,000 for trail improvements) before embarking on a hike through the Preserve. Attendees will have the chance to explore recent upgrades and learn about upcoming trail resilience projects aimed at protecting and enhancing this beloved trail system.

That's 2x the size of all state parks and public lands combined. Land Trusts in Maine have protected over 2.34 million acres of publicly accessible land, including over 1000 miles of recreational trails, plus critical wildlife habitat, managed forests, and working waterfronts and farms. We have FOUR new trailhead kiosks thanks to a stellar group of local Eagle Scouts! Scouts did every part of construction and installation, including digging holes and heaving the heavy kiosks into place on a recent snowy Saturday. We're so grateful
