FLT is hosting public volunteer trail trainings every month from April through October. Volunteers will meet with FLT staff to learn how to do everything from building bridges and cutting back branches to removing invasive species. No experience necessary!
This month’s project will focus on installing a turnpike at Blackstrap Hill Preserve (373 Blackstrap Road, Falmouth). This involves digging, moving wheelbarrow loads of gravel, and shoveling. Volunteers should come prepared wearing study shoes and bring water and sun protection. If you have questions about volunteering, please reach out to our Environmental Steward Sarah Payne at flt_seasonal@falmouthlandtrust.org. Click the link below to sign up, or call 207-200-5488 for more information.
Other upcoming volunteer training dates: September 8th, October 13th
Time and location for each day to be determined based on weather and project priorities.
