Wilderness First Aid Class with Wild Maine Med

FLT is excited to partner with Wild Maine Med and the Friends School of Portland on a two-day wilderness first aid class!  Wilderness First Aid courses are two-day (16hr) courses that provide specialized training in medical emergencies that may occur while adventuring outside. From trauma-related injuries to medical issues, participants engage in hands-on scenarios to gain the knowledge and skills to assess, stabilize, and treat injuries or illnesses until further help can arrive. Unlike traditional lecture-based first aid courses, this course is based around hands-on practice, enabling participants to gain the understanding necessary to accurately assess emergency situations and build the skills needed to respond effectively.

Dates: November 2nd and 3rd (8 hours each day)
Location: Friends School of Portland (11 US-1, Cumberland Foreside)
Cost: $235 for SOLO Wilderness First Aid Certification (additional $45 for optional CPR certification)
Ages: 14 and up

Please reach out to Courtney with questions and to register: wildmainemed@gmail.com
