Trail Distance and Description: 1.5 mile trail system; trails are often rooty and rocky and contain sections of narrow bridging over wet areas

Dogs: Allowed off leash under voice control. Must be on leash within 300 feet of the trailhead.

Parking: Street-side on Charlotte Drive, Ice Pond Drive, or Garden Way

Additional Directions: From I-95 take exit 53 and turn right onto Gray Rd (Rte 100/26). Continue one mile and turn left onto Summit St.  Continue on Summit St for one mile, and then turn left onto Allen Ave. Continue one-quarter mile and turn right onto Ledgewood Dr. Continue one-half mile and turn right onto Charlotte Drive.  In about 400 feet there will be a power line clearing with a trail entrance on the left side.

Please note: 5 Charlotte Drive is the closest residential property to the entrance of Ledges Preserve. It should not be used for parking; it is just a reference for trailhead access.

General Information: Part of a larger conservation corridor, Ledges Preserve abuts the Portland Trails’ Ocean Ave Recreation Area. There is limited public access and a small trail system.

Habitat: Significant emergent cattail wetland, wooded second growth.
