Trail Distance and Description: 4.75 mile trail system (starting from school campus); trails are often rooty and rocky and contain sections of narrow bridging over wet areas

Dogs: Allowed off leash under voice control. Must be on leash within 300 feet of the trailhead.

Property Uses: Hiking, bicycling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, fishing. School groups frequently visit trails for XC running and classes. 

Additional Directions: To access the main entrance on Falmouth Road: from exit 53 on I-95, turn left onto Gray Rd (Rte 100/26). At the first traffic light take a right onto Leighton Rd and continue until it comes to a T with Falmouth Rd.  Turn right onto Falmouth Rd. and continue about ¼ mile to the trailhead on the left.  There is a small unpaved parking area marked with a trail map kiosk.

To access the McCrann property from the 52 Woodville Road entrance, drive into the Falmouth School campus and park near the sports fields. There is another FLT kiosk with trail information.

General Information: A mostly wooded property with a 2.5 acre field, McCrann is a major component of a conservation corridor along 6,500 feet of the East Branch of the Piscataqua River. The first portion of the preserve, McCrann I, was the first parcel donated to FLT.
